Project - Identity Design
Women in Security Environments: WiSE, an internal AWS diversity group approached me to help develop a new identity. They were looking for a bold visual representation of intelligence and advocacy that was centrally (but not overtly) feminine. The final logo has strong forms and colors with rounded and open negative space.
Foundation:
Founded at Amazon, this new advocacy group was created to represent women in security and compliance in the technology sector, and provide support for their careers in the long term. I was approached to help develop an identity for the group that was visually different from other organizations that represented women in the field . Among their concerns was a sensitivity to traditional imagery and symbolism used to represent specifically “female” themes in tech, and how to best communicate the central goals of the group globally. I worked closely with the leadership for this group, as well as partner members from across the globe to vet iconography, validate changes, and to ensure that I synthesized enough feedback to confidently develop the branding for international use.
Early Development: The beginning stages of identity development were largely around 'feel', deeply exploring central logo options and wordmark variations
Final Logo - The final contains notable changes, including a gradient colorway, improved spacing and letterform refinement, as well as a 'prouder' stance to the owl element
Deliverable:
The final guide represented the combined voices of WiSE leadership and showcased the new direction and identity. As the group grows and moves forward with confidence, they know that they have a visual identity that mirrors their energy.
Deployment Examples - As part of the final deliverable, I created a suite of use case examples to help guide the early stages of producing event collateral

Project - Branding and Identity Design
SOC Reboot: Identity design and branded assets for the team launching a new, innovative approach to cloud security.
Foundation:
The SAPR Team needed a entirely new identity to communicate a serious focus on cloud security and remote data center integrity. In addition, they needed a cohesive design language for internal teams to monitor security concerns that harmonized with wayfinding for staff on site. I worked with both operational staff in direct contact with customers, but also with leadership and the people tasked with managing this data in the day-to-day operations, and together we developed a visually consistent and highly adaptable design language that not only met the operational needs of the teams, but also extended to the branding of the entire department within the larger division. The produced deliverable reflects the final centralized themes and outlines an approach to continue extending the design language as capabilities are added.
Pre-Existing Parent Branding for Department - Source Material
Early Iterations - Part of the conceptual phase was developing possible representations of what a "Security Operations Center" was, notably 'global', 'secure', and 'of the cloud'

Deliverable:

During development I created a spectrum of subtle variants and explorations to test how they appeared in different use cases.
Final Use Case Variants - This project required alternate versions for specific use cases which were each addressed in the final deliverable
